I can do white or an assortment of whites and off whites or I can do
one color family or I can do a riotous cacophony of interspersed
blocks. Any thoughts?

I love the brightness of those blocks!! I'd be tempted to set them with some plain bright squares.
Since you have some white and some creams, try horizontal sashing in white and vertical in cream. Use Cathi's idea of plain bright squares at the intersections.
I think it is a wonderful wall!! I love all the bright and cheerfulness...gorgeous! I recently put together a bunch of unrelated blocks, and love it.
