My father told me that his grandmother, Minnie, used to
make quilts. They were not art, he assured me, just made up of
snippets of old clothes , so as not to waste fabric and used to keep
warm. He remembers one, he says, all in grays and blacks and plaids.
Not art, he says, not meant to be beautiful.
Sounds like beauty to me. Maybe even art...
Oh my goodness this brings back memories! My little dilute calico, Libby, who's been dead for about 15 years now, used to do this all the time. She topped out at 6.2 lbs, a real runt, and she love to lay on top of doors swinging with them. She had excellent balance and no sense of fear. She would swing on the bathroom door and look over the shower curtain when I was taking a shower. I can still see her there, peering down at me, not minding the mist at all. lol
Nice to catch up - that cat is very courageous I think :)
