the winner-Saffron

I love this color and I wanted to paint a whole room with it but it looked too orange. How convenient that I received some in the mail to use as setting triangles. Saffronicity?
I have a little more machine applique to do on the middle bottom and the top right and then I can sew the rest of the nine patch together.

  2. mmmmm...yummy saffron! what a beautiful color and it looks great with your quilt! i once painted my writing room that color. i loved the color...but in my tiny little room it made my heart beat so fast i could hardly think! wow--color is a powerful thing. i ended up painting an oregano/lime green over the top of it. just knowing that the yellow was there underneath, made me feel good. ;)

thank you for all of your wonderful comments lately. i am so glad that i met your through the create a connection exchange. i think of you often and have been using my watercolor sketch book a lot. i love that thing!

your quilts are fabulous. have you ever thought about showing them somewhere? or maybe you already do?

  4. Instead of painting a whole room with the colour, choose one wall and paint the rest in a toning neutral. DH has just done that in our living room with a prairie gold.. I was worried at first when it was going on but it's actually quite comfortable and cosy and a drop of sunshine.

Love the pink and saffron combo in your quilt top... Elly
